Alvarez Speaks at America’s Community Bankers Conference
Eduardo Alvarez, Executive Vice President, Marketing & Strategy for BrandPartners, shared insights yesterday into trends in in-branch merchandising for approximately 100 attendees at the ACB 2007 Bank Sales & Marketing Conference & Marketplace on Apr. 23 in Orlando, FL.
The ACB conference addressed hot topics for bank sales and marketing professionals and encouraged the exchange of ideas, experiences and best practices. Alvarez led discussion on ways to optimize the branch presence with environmental graphics, line of business walls, drive-ups, digital merchandising, point-of-sale and point-of-purchase merchandising and windows merchandising.
Beginning with branding as basis for all communications, Alvarez demonstrated the importance of focusing on design and communications from the customer perspective. The session examined how leading retailers merchandise store exteriors and interiors and how those insights can be applied to the financial services community. Despite very different customer demographic profiles, it is possible to create an in-branch customer experiences to address the needs of each of these customer types. Alvarez then walked participants through visuals of financial service case histories to bring these strategies to life.
